Priyanka has 12+ years of experience in handling litigation across various Courts and judicial forums including the Supreme Court of India and High Court of Bombay. She has experience appearing before NLCT, District Commission, State Commission, and has briefed designated Senior Advocates, and Solicitors. As a trained Mediator, she has helped parties arrive at amicable resolutions for disputes of varying nature.

Priyanka has handled 100+ criminal, civil, and commercial disputes and has been instrumental in strategizing to overcome complexities in the litigations as well as manage complex cross-litigations instituted between the same parties before multiple forums.

Priyanka has worked with listed and private corporate outfits in manufacturing, IP, IT/ITES, entertainment, background verification industries, etc. and has assisted them with monitoring compliance, reviewing and drafting contracts/policies, negotiating agreements/transactions, and advising clients on legal risk mitigation. She is also a qualified Data Privacy Professional providing consultancy-based guidance and drafting policies/documents on GDPR, PDP, and Privacy by Design standards..

 

Prior to joining BTG Legal, Priyanka worked as an Associate at Weitzman Advocates and Thomson Reuters before becoming an independent practitioner. She is a law graduate from Pravin Gandhi College of Law, Mumbai, India and holds a master’s degree in human rights law.
